I was not doing much before working at Women’s Bean Project. I was impacted by the economy and learned about Women’s Bean Project while at a food pantry. Since I had not been employed for a while, I had to get used to getting up for work again and learn new skills and do what was expected of me. I have been taking courses and almost have enough credits for a degree.
The new job skills and life skills classes at the Bean Project have helped me to overcome obstacles of moving forward that were holding me back. I feel good about the future and excited about getting a new job after I graduate from Women’s Bean Project. I have even been able to buy a car with money I saved while working at the Bean Project.
