Before I arrived at Women Bean Project I had been out of work for about 2 years and had been taking classes on my math and language skills. I knew I needed a place where I could work on the necessary skills needed to get a job so I applied at Women’s Bean Project. They taught me so many new skills, like planning and organizing, budgeting, and customer service. I learned new skills while working in the retail store like sorting through the mail, answering the phone, assisting customers, and restocking the store.
Being around all the different women and hearing their stories has taught me to not be afraid and that everyone deserves a second chance. Not only did I make good friends from working at Women’s Bean Project, but I gained the skills needed to get a job working at Denver International Airport before I graduated. Women’s Bean Project helped me tremendously.
