YOUR VEHICLE ALLOWS A WOMAN TO EARN A FUTURE
By donating your vehicle to Women’s Bean Project, you help women set a new course for their lives by moving out of dependency and into personal responsibility and self-reliance through on-the-job training, as well as stabilization and personal development services.
To donate your car, truck, boat, motorcycle, camper, and recreational vehicle, you simply need a clear title and the keys—your vehicle doesn’t even have to be in working condition. Our partner, Driven to Donate, is operated by Step 13, a nationally-recognized recovery program in downtown Denver that offers men the opportunity to overcome drug and/or alcohol addiction through a program that requires sobriety, work, and accountability. Their men help process vehicles donated through your organization, providing them with the dignity of work, while striving to maximize the value of each donated vehicle.
With Women’s Bean Project benefiting from the donation of your vehicle and Step 13 benefiting by operating the program, including providing work opportunities for their residents, 100 percent of your donation benefits both Women’s Bean Project (50%) and Step 13 (50%).
The IRS may allow you to take a charitable-tax deduction on your federal income tax return for the gross sale of your vehicle. If the gross sale of the vehicle is greater than $500, the IRS may require you to fill out Form 8283, “Non-cash Charitable Contributions.” For more information, consult your tax advisor.
Avoid the headache of selling or disposing of your vehicle by transforming it into a life-changing gift for chronically unemployed and impoverished women.
