My name is Esperanza and I’m a production assistant here at the Women’s Bean Project. Before my employment at The Bean, I was living in a shelter with 2/3 of my kids. I was taking the bus every day. I was struggling with finding a job as well. When I came across WBP I decided to give it a shot. I did my in-person interview, and I could already tell this was a place I wanted to be. It was a very comfortable and welcoming environment. I’ve been employed here now for 9 months. I have definitely dealt with a lot of obstacles and the death of my daughter’s dad and I’ve had nothing but love and support from WBP to make it through all of it. I have secured housing and have all my kids living with me. I bought my own car. I’ve secured a steady income as well. I show deep gratitude for WBP for helping me thrive and grow into a strong independent woman/mom. I’ve made close friends and have built strong relationships with the staff here. I know this company can change any woman’s life because they have definitely changed mine!
