Program Overview
Our Transitional Employment Program
Women’s Bean Project is 9-month transitional employment for women who have faced barriers to employment. Participants in the program are hired as a production assistant and spend time working in our food manufacturing business, making and packaging all the food products we sell. Participants also spend time attending programming classes and receiving wrap-around support from the program team.
Participants work one-on-one with a case manager throughout their time in the program and work towards achieving individual goals. While working on the production floor, participants learn job readiness skills and work as part of a team. Programming classes focus on learning life skills and soft skills. During the final phase of the program participants work individually with a job coach as they establish their next steps in the workforce.
