I would like to express my deep gratitude to the Women’s Bean Project for the incredible opportunity to be part of a program that has truly changed my life. Being welcomed into such a supportive and empowering environment gave me the chance to grow – both personally and professionally – in ways I never thought possible.
During my time with the Women’s Bean Project, I had the opportunity to participate in a transitional work program that helped me grow both professionally and personally. It gave me the opportunity to rebuild my life and gain meaningful relationships and work ethic. Through this experience, I learned valuable job skills, built confidence in my abilities to set smart goals, and developed a stronger understanding of workplace expectations.
Beyond technical skills, the program taught me how to manage my time effectively, work as part of a team, and meet expectations in a structured, professional setting. Most importantly, the Women’s Bean Project supported me in maintaining my sobriety by providing a stable, encouraging environment that focused on personal growth, accountability, and healing. I am proud of the progress I made during my time in the program.
I learned the importance of responsibility, time management, and teamwork in a professional setting. The program provided hands-on training in manufacturing and packaging, while also offering classes that focused on food safety, communication skills, and goal setting. These classes helped me better understand how to manage my personal life while maintaining a steady job.
More than just a workplace, the Women’s Bean Project offered a supportive environment that encouraged me to look toward a brighter future. I gained not only job experience, but also the tools to overcome barriers that previously stood in my way. The program empowered me to take control of my life, build healthy habits, and prepare for long-term employment.
I am grateful for the opportunity to have been part of this program. I will carry the lessons I’ve learned into the next chapter of my career and life. It gave me the confidence and tools to move forward in my life and career with purpose and direction, and for this I will be forever grateful.
Sincerely,
Michelle
