My name is Christine […] and I’m 27 years old with a sweet 9-year-old daughter. I’m engaged to the greatest man, and together, we’ve been navigating this incredible journey. Over the last 21 months, I’ve been sober and have worked incredibly hard to rebuild my life. I have full custody of my daughter and currently live in a halfway house, where I’ve been for 17 months out of a 30-month sentence. Despite my past struggles, I’ve earned several certifications along the way, including CCAR Recovery, Spirituality, Ethics, Emergency Care, and HIPAA. My professional journey has been transformative as well—I started as a production assistant at the Women’s Bean Project and worked my way up to production lead. I’m also a Recovering Peer Coach at New Leaf Peer 2 Peer, where I continue to grow and help others. While my past involved addiction and legal troubles, I’m proud of where I am today, staying on track and working hard every day to ensure a bright future. I have big plans for 2025, including buying a house with land for my family and being eligible to get my driver’s license in March. For now, I’m living with my family, and I’m excited to continue this journey and see what the future holds.
