Carleen’s Firehouse No. 10 Chili Lasagna

This spicy take on a classic pasta dish combines the heartiness of our Firehouse No. 10 Chili and the comfort of pasta. It's the perfect dish for family gatherings and cozy winter nights.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. Firehouse No. 10 Chili, cooked per package instructions*
  • 1 lb. box of lasagna noodles, cooked per package instructions
  • 1 lb. ricotta cheese
  • 8 oz. shredded cheese (Mexican blend or mozzarella or both!)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Additional shredded or grated cheese for topping, if desired

*Please note, this recipe does not use entire batch of chili. Also, meat can be added, per package suggestion. Can substitute WBP Old Fashioned Chili, if preferred.

Instructions

  1. Grease a 13” x 9” pan lightly to coat, and pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix egg, ricotta, and shredded cheese of choice until well blended.
  3. Place a generous ladle of cooked chili in bottom of the pan and spread.
  4. Begin to create the lasagna layers. Place 3 lasagna noodles in a layer over chili.
  5. Place a generous scoop of cheese mixture on each noddle, and spread evenly.
  6. Repeat layering chili, noddles and cheese until pan is almost full.
  7. Finish with a layer of chili making sure to cover the top layer of cheese. Top with additional shredded cheese, if desired.
  8. Cover lightly with foil, and bake for 30 minutes until heated through and bubbly. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
