  • 1 Box WBP Chocolate Brownie Mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup candied ginger pieces, chopped into morsel size

Gingerbread Brownies

These gingerbread brownies combine the warming spice of gingerbread with the richness of a classic brownie.

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven to 350 F.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine 1/2 stick (4 tablespoons) melted butter and 2 eggs; beat well by hand.
  3. Add molasses to the egg and butter mixture; mix.
  4. Add ginger, cinnamon, and cloves.
  5. Gradually combine dry brownie mix into wet mixture beating by hand until well blended.
  6. Fold in the ginger and chocolate chips.
  7. Spread batter evenly into a lightly greased 8-inch square pan.
  8. Bake for about 20 to 25 minutes or until the sides of brownies begin to pull away from the pan. Allow to cool completely in pan on a wire rack, then lightly loosen the sides and cut to desired servings.
