Ingredients

  • 1 Box WBP chocolate brownie mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup candied ginger pieces, chopped into morsel size

Gingerbread Brownies

These gingerbread brownies combine the warming spice of gingerbread with the richness of a classic brownie.

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven to 350 degrees
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine 1/2 stick (4 tbsp) melted butter and 2 eggs; beat well by hand.
  3. Add molasses to the egg & butter mixture; mix
  4. Add ginger, cinnamon, & cloves
  5. Gradually combine dry brownie mix into wet mixture beating by hand until well blended.
  6. Fold in the ginger and chocolate chips
  7. Spread batter evenly into a lightly greased 8-inch square pan
  8. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the sides of brownies begin to pull away from the pan. Allow to cool completley in pan on a wire rack, then lightly loosen the sides and cut to desired servings.
